✎ Nationally respected advocate for students and families, from school breakfast to parental empowerment in the infant-toddler disability program;
✎ President of the Alexandria non-profit organization Bienvenidos, which created the Building Better Futures program to enable hundreds of students to gain the skills and confidence to become the first in their families to attend college;
✎ For 9 years served as bilingual parent liaison for the Alexandria City Public Schools, assuring that families new to our country have the resources and training to help their children learn.
